Access Space is a creative environment in which to learn about IT. Through the Community Learning Programme, we aim to attract partnerships with community groups and individuals who will benefit from dipping into our knowledge. Partnerships strengthen our community's voice and the Third Sector in general. We are challenging the digital divide, ensuring the gap between the haves and have nots does not widen.

Since April 2000 we've been running an open access internet lab with powerful, up-to-date computers, but without paying a penny for the technology we use! We only use free technology: recycled computers equipped with completely legal, free software. We've proved that this way of delivering ICT in the community is completely feasible and highly sustainable.

If you would like to discuss your experience of IT and the needs of your group, please contact the team on (0114) 2495522. If you would like to learn more about previous events, or the events we will be holiding this year, please follow the links at the bottom of the page.

If you work with, or know of, any groups who are talking about improving their IT skills, please let them know about our programme.
