Tim Beighton's mixed media paintings reflect his fascination with patterns we encounter in everyday life.
Access Space participant Tim explains his abstract mixed media work on wood, mdf and board like this, “I started to notice patterns everywhere: in the brickwork, the flagstones and footfall of shoppers and cars streaming about, the tread on the tyres…all I could really do was to paint, and keep on painting, trying to 'speak' about it…”

Tim graduated from Liverpool Polytechnic with a degree in art in 1990 and has spent much of his working life as a teacher of design technology in secondary schools.
