Commissioned for the Foyer at Access Space, the installation is a video of four take away meals filmed from above.
Projected vertically and unedited, the movements on the table top are watched in real time on a horizontal table the same size as the one at which the meal was eaten.
Two dining chairs are available for audience members to sit, as if they are the diners, where they can watch the “ballet” of food and cutlery take place.
Each take away meal was bought within walking distance of the the artist's studio in Lincoln (Thai, pizza, salad, chips).
Sunshine Gray devises site-specific, immersive sonic events often with a visual or performance element - examining the intersections between technology, sound & theatre.
