The Supported Open Access Programme aims to facilitate skills sharing, creative activity and a friendly productive environment for new and existing Access Space participants.
The SOAP team are are the first point of contact for people entering the space; they engage with participants' specific interests to find projects or software that they may find useful and fun, and help out with anything participants are working on. They also deliver a programme of regular workshops, events and drop-in sessions and one-off projects or activities, which are free and open to all.
The SOAP team are currently Digital Outreach Trainers in Making IT Personal, a European Social Fund project that helps local people to spread their knowledge of technology, help others and achieve a recognized qualification.
