Alistair Zaldua, E-violin + live electronics

13 October 2022 @ 19:30 - 22:00

£5 cash on the door
Bring a bottle
Doors open 7:30pm for 8:00pm start
This concert will feature a set of new compositions by Alistair Zaldua for the 5-string e-violin and live electronics. While each piece involves improvisation and experimental approaches to performance, the machine listening involved in the electronics serves to operate as an improvisation partner. While collecting and processing data derived from the e-violin sound, the electronics create expressive real and unreal spaces. This allows the violin to not only improvise into, but also to interact with and against.
