SUMMARY:Eulerroom x Algorave
DESCRIPTION:An audio/visual showcase from the international live coding and algorave scene\, hosting top artists from Mexico City and NYC. \nLive coding is where artists make music and visuals by writing and manipulating code. We held the first ever live coding festival here in Access Space in 2007\, and it has since grown into an international movement\, with algoraves taking place in over 80 cities. \nMalitzin Cortes a.k.a CNDSD + Ivan Abreu (MX) explore the poetic possibilities of live code writing for musical and visual improvisation (Live Coding)\, they are also interested in the expressive visualization of musical algorithmic structures and the use of generative cinema to resignify sound improvisation and the practices of live cinema.\n[ http://malitzincortes.net/ | http://www.ivanabreu.net/#works/artworks ] \n\n \nPlus all the way from NYC: \nCodie (a.k.a Sarah Groff Hennigh-Palermo and Melody Loveless): Sound + light. Described by others as “alien pop”\, this music is made with love and code. The visuals aim to sweep you away. https://codie.live/ \n…and… \nUlysses Popple (NYC): A member of livecode.nyc\, seeking out new ways to bring interactivity to visuals. [ https://www.youtube.com/user/upopple ] \nPlus local residents: \nJoanne (Leeds): Algobabe from Leeds\, all code and synths\, recently blasting across Japan and MUTEK Montreal.. http://twitter.com/joannnne \nCCAI (Sheffield): Damu (Sam Schorb) + Yaxu (Alex McLean) bringing their hybrid algorithmic techno http://ccai.lurk.org/

DESCRIPTION:An undisciplined night of folk noises from the past and future. \nBring your instruments\, voices\, laptops\, handmade electronics\, other noisemakers and your friends. \nThe idea is to run this like a folk club\, with people taking turns to play short pieces\, but not subscribing to any particular definition of what ‘folk music’ might be. Non-western\, improvised and generally strange music is very welcome. \nAcoustic music is also welcome. A PA will be available for laptops etc but to be inclusive to all folk\, we don’t expect things to get super loud. \nDonations on the door are welcome. Drinks will be available from the bar.
